EVENT 007 Wooden Spoon Carving with Barn the Spoon, powered by Victorinox, with Bone Broth by Nil Mutluer

Lucen World invites you to get hands-on with the ancient craft of spoon carving, in a workshop led by legendary woodworker and spoon carver Barn the Spoon, powered by Victorinox. Taking place at Camden Art Centre, the afternoon will introduce you to the tools, techniques and traditions behind working with wood, with each guest carving their own wooden spoon to take home.

Barn the Spoon has been obsessed with woodwork for over 30 years, dedicating the last 16 to the art of spoon carving. Founder of the Green Wood Guild and co-founder of Spoonfest, Barn sees each spoon as a piece of functional sculpture... a chance to work with the natural character of wood and create something both useful and completely unique! He has spent years sharing his knowledge through workshops across the UK, as well as through his Hackney-based spoon shop and woodworking space.

We'll be using Huntsman Swiss Army Knife™ from Victorinox throughout the workshop, with each guest receiving a Classic SD Swiss Army Knife to take home, alongside a special discount to use in store where they can visit and build their own Swiss Army Knife™.

After the carving, chef and culinary artist Nil Mutluer will serve her legendary take on bone broth, giving guests the chance to use the spoons they've just made to enjoy the broth. Nil’s work sits at the intersection of food, fashion and visual culture, with collaborations including Miu Miu, Acne Studios, Nordic Knots and MUBI.

All ages and genders welcome. Come alone or with a friend. 🤍🤎💚
